Managing Organization Abatements¶
Abatement activities refer to the efforts taken by organizations to reduce emissions and contribute to environmental sustainability.
This section introduces two types of abatement activities that can be recorded and tracked as part of your emission reduction efforts:
Abatement Initiatives: These are organization-level efforts, such as tree planting projects, renewable power generation initiatives, or office managers replacing energy-intensive standard light bulbs with new, energy-efficient ones.
Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs): Also known as Green Certificates, RECs can be purchased and claimed as emission reductions for your organization.
Once abatement entry is complete, you can also utilize the analytical tool to conduct cost evaluation of emissions reduction:
