Managing Emission Templates

Data entry can become a tedious routine, especially when dealing with multiple entities. To simplify this process, administrators can pre-define emission categories, sources, dimensions, and factor values as templates for departments with similar emission habits. This way, they only need to fill in the emission values in the monthly records.

Prerequisites

Contact your system administrator if your account does not meet the below requirements:

  • Ensure your account has the super admin role for access to emission template feature.

Create Emission Templates

  1. Click on Settings > Activity Template in the left navigation pane. Select Activity Category tab.

  2. Click + New Template, enter a template name and click OK. New template will appear below + New Template.

  3. Click the edit button right next to the new template.

  4. Select relevant emission categories for your department and click Next.

  5. Expand emission categories selected, click Add a row and define relevant Emission Source, Dimension, Factor Value according to department’s emission scenarios. Click Save to save template settings to system.

Note

  • The current factor database includes factors from Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions. It includes factors published by IPCC, BEIS, EPA, IEA, ADEME, Defra, AIB, ICE, CIDB, as well as factors released by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, and various provincial and municipal authorities.

  • Search for factors by name or region, filter factors by source and type, and quickly select the desired factors.

  • Click the Details button allows you to see the GWP value and the split greenhouse gas emission values associated with the selected factor.
